The Big Island Ballroom Dance Club is offering a new quarter of dance classes beginning at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Church of the Holy Cross multipurpose building, 440 W. Lanikaula Street.

The Big Island Ballroom Dance Club is offering a new quarter of dance classes beginning at 7 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Church of the Holy Cross multipurpose building, 440 W. Lanikaula Street.

Registration takes place at 6:30 p.m. that evening. Singles and couples are welcome. Classes to be taught include East Coast swing, merengue and waltz II. The cost is $6 per class and the membership fee is $15.

The Big Island Ballroom Dance Club is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 2007 to provide lessons in ballroom dancing at a nominal cost to the community in a safe and wholesome environment.
